For the past few weeks I have been hosting a Monday evening zazen at a local Aikido dojo.  It has been a very interesting experience.  For years and years, with the exception of traveling for sesshin, I have been sitting zazen either alone, or with other practitioners virtually through Google+.  So sitting with others in the flesh has been very exciting.  Getting to see their smiling faces.  To feel their presence in my sit makes it somehow more "alive".  It's also very humbling.  While I know that most do not know the proper order for the bells, bows and such, it still feels like a very heavy responsibility. And while I don't teach, I feel my actions do and so I tread very lightly on this path hopefully leaving no trace.

Deep bows,
